Distillery Store

Virginia is home to nearly 50 distilleries. These artisan distillers are producing small batch bourbons, organic whiskies, even gluten-free vodkas—some of which are award winning. Of the more than 2,600 products carried on Virginia ABC’s price list, more than 30 are distilled in the Commonwealth.

Until recently, visitors could tour a distillery in Virginia, but had to visit an ABC store to taste or purchase the product. Since 2010, six code modifications have been legislatively mandated making it easier for distilleries to meet the qualifications to become a distillery as well as allowing them to offer samples of their products and sell their distilled spirits.

Some Virginia products are carried in almost all ABC stores. However, the products of smaller distillers with more limited production capabilities may be available in only a few store locations or are sold only in a distillery store.

Is there a Virginia spirit that isn’t available in your local store? Any Virginia ABC sales associate would be happy to help you find the product you are looking for. Also, you can order Virginia-made products on our website for delivery to the store of your choice. View Virginia distilled spirits in our product catalog.
