Return and Refund Policy

Products

PLEASE NOTE: Save your receipt! Starting October 1, 2024, a valid receipt is required for returns. Merchandise must be returned within 45 days of purchase. 

The following return and refund policies apply to products purchased in Virginia ABC stores or purchased online via the Virginia ABC website.

• Purchases made in stores or online may be returned at any store. A valid receipt is required for all returns.
• A customer must be 21 years of age or older to receive a refund.
• Merchandise must be returned within 45 days of purchase to receive a refund.
• Merchandise not returned with a receipt or within 45 days will be exchanged or refunded with a gift card. The exchange or refund must be completed in-store.
• Online orders will be refunded to the original credit or debit card used for the purchase.
• Refunds will not be issued for non-stocked special order items or closeout items.

Same-Day Deliveries

Same-day orders with our delivery partner are subject to the following additional policies:

• Note that same-day delivery orders cannot be cancelled online.
• For delivery orders, product replacements or exchanges may be reshipped from the original shipping store to the address where the original shipping order was delivered.
• Delivery fees and tips are nonrefundable for orders that have been delivered successfully.

Next-Day Shipments

Next-day orders with our shipping partner are subject to the following additional policies:

• Note that, prior to shipment, next-day orders may be cancelled and refunded online, using the tracking link provided in the confirmation email.
• For delivery orders, product replacements or exchanges may be reshipped from the original shipping store to the address where the original shipping order was delivered.
• Shipping fees are nonrefundable for orders that have been shipped.

Gift Cards

Gift cards may not be used for payment of online orders at this time. Gift cards cannot be exchanged or returned for cash or credit. If a gift card is lost or stolen, an original receipt must be presented for the remaining balance to be reissued. Read more about Virginia ABC gift cards.

Refunds for License Applications

You may withdraw your license application but will be charged the application fee.

If you believe that you are due a refund for a withdrawn application, please contact your regional office. You will be required to:

• Provide proof that a refund is due.
• Provide a Federal Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) such as a Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN) (if applicable).

Refunds for payments will be made as follows.

• If payment was made by check, any remaining balance will be sent to you by mail, which could take 60 to 120 days. Please ensure that your correct address is on file and allow at least 30 days before contacting Virginia ABC.
• If payment was made by credit card, any remaining balance will be credited back to the credit card used for payment and could take 7 to 10 days from the date the refund is processed.

YADAPP

Full refunds for the annual YADAPP conference will be granted for cancellations submitted before May 1. Fifty percent refunds will be granted for cancellations made May 1 through May 15. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made after May 15. Visit the YADAPP website.
