Sporting a beautiful copper hue with brilliant clarity, this rye boasts an assertive nose that begins with quince, brown sugar and vanilla, which in turn is followed by baking spices, walnut and orange adjoined by underlying subtle notes of black tea and dried plums. Aromatics of the nose carry over into the palate, which is soft and sweet with noticeable dessert wine elements (muscat, gewurztraminer) and suggests softened mature wood tannins and vanilla. Subtle citrus expressions emerge on the sides of mouth. The finish is well-integrated with sweet oak resin and toffee.
