Learning Center Login Instructions

Welcome to the Virginia ABC online training registration process. You will use this system to create an account so you can sign up for various Education and Prevention programs, such as:

  • Responsible Alcohol Delivery Driver (RADD) 
  • RSVP and MART
  • BOLT
  • Power of Parents
  • and Project Sticker Shock 

We recommend taking our trainings on a laptop or desktop computer. Users have experienced difficulties accessing trainings and certificates on mobile and tablet devices.

If you already created an account, please login to the Commonwealth of Virginia Learning Center.
If you are logging into our learning center for the first time, please create an account with the Commonwealth of Virginia Learning Center by following these steps.

Step 1: Creating an account
Visit the Commonwealth of Virginia Learning Center website. Select Need an account?

Step 2: Non-State Registration
In the dropdown menu select ABC-Ext-Alcoholic Beverage Control and then click OK.

Step 3: Information entry
Enter all information in the required fields (marked with an asterisk).

Step 4: Information entry continued
Click on the "select" box under Organization. Search "ABC" in the Find Organization field then click Search. Select “ABC External” and click Save. When you have entered all the required information, click Create.

Step 5: Confirmation
After you create an account, you will receive an email that you have registered. Please allow up to two business days for your account to be approved. You will receive a second email confirming your account has been approved and you may then access the online training system.

Once you have an account with the Commonwealth of Virginia Learning Center, you may register for Virginia ABC Education and Prevention online training.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. It has been more than two business days since I requested a COVLC account and I have not gotten a response. What should I do?

    Please call Virginia ABC’s Education and Prevention Section at (804) 977-7440.

  2. Is there an online tutorial to assist with navigating the COVLC?
    Yes, the tutorial can be accessed on YouTube.
  3. When creating an account, what do I select as “Organization”?

    In the “Find Organization” search box you will type in “ABC.” “ABC External” will appear and you will select the button to the left of “ABC External” to select and save this organization.

  4. When creating an account, do I need to fill in the fields “Job Title” and “Manager?”

    No, “Job Title” and “Manager” are not required fields for creating an account.

  5. If I already have an account on the COVLC with another state agency, how can I access the system for Virginia ABC programs?
    On the COVLC homepage, select “Contact Us” and fill out the form with your information and request. The system administrator will contact you as soon as possible to grant you access.  
  6. If I already have an account on the COVLC, but have forgotten my login ID or password, where can I access this information?
    Select the “Log In” button and then select either “Forgot your login ID or password” at the bottom of the Login form to reset your password or recover your Login ID.  
  7. Where can I locate a training once I have completed it?

    Login to the COVLC. Once you have logged in, you will scroll to the bottom of the Home page to the “Completed Training” console. Here you can view trainings you’ve recently completed or view “All Training.”

  8. I’ve completed a training, but forgot to print my certificate. Where can I print my certificate?

    Login to the COVLC. Once you have logged in, you will scroll to the bottom of the Home page to the “Completed Training” console. Here, you can select to view trainings you’ve completed or view “All Training.” Once you see the training for which you need to print the certificate, click “View Certificate” and a PDF file will download. You may print your certificate from this PDF file.

  9. I failed my quiz at the end of my training. What should I do?

    When you enter the training after failing your quiz you must go through the full training again and take the quiz at the end. After selecting the training on the Homepage, you will be asked if you would like to resume the training where you left off. Select “NO.” This will allow you to retake the training and quiz.

  10. The training I am taking says there are attachments to follow along. Where are these attachments located?
    In the upper right hand corner of the training, there is a link to “Resources.” Select this and the PDF attachments are listed for you to download. 
  11. I completed all sections of the training and passed the quiz with a score of at least 85%—why don’t I see my certificate?

    Please make sure that you also completed the survey at the end of the training and clicked the “Exit Course” button when done. Always select the “Resume” option when opening the training again. Allow COVLC to refresh automatically and then you will be able to view and print your certificate.
