This expression has enjoyed a triple maturation in three types of cask. The first maturation occurs in American oak, ex-bourbon barrels. The second features small, 19th-century style quarter casks. The final maturation takes place in specially selected large European oak, Oloroso Sherry casks. This spirit is lively on the palate, implying hints of bitter chocolate, ash and a spicy chili bite. The short, dry finish imparts a lingering sweet aftertaste.
