This small-batch bourbon is the core of Blue Run’s flagship whiskeys. The higher rye percentage ensures a more intricate flavor profile, counter-balancing the more traditional sweet base flavors of bourbon with the peppery and savory spice of rye. On the palate, brown sugar and nuttiness start to shine, and a little bit of white pepper pops, but it’s well-balanced, and slowly moves to stone fruit and dried apricot. The long finish progresses to flavors of herbal white tea, peach and clove.
