New Products for Holiday Season

Festive, unique blends highlight the 46 newest products arriving on Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority’s (ABC) store shelves this holiday season. 

Cookie Dough Whiskey, one of the latest offerings from Ole Smoky, is the first item featured in ABC’s latest issue of Spirited Virginia magazine. Moonshine Pineapples with Pina Colada is another brand-new offering from the Tennessee distillery, famous for its flavored selections. 

The sweeter offerings continue, as SelvaRey has released the luscious Chocolate Rum from Panama. Even more flavored options are reaching ABC stores in the form of canned cocktails, ranging from Virginia-based Bold Rock’s Vodka Orange Crush to Italian Luxardo’s Aperitivo and Bitter Bianco Spritz selections.

Flavors of citrus and other garden-friendly selections bring welcome reminders of summer in the winter months. Female-founded 21 Seeds distillery introduces three new expressions of tequila blanco – Valencia Orange, Grapefruit Hibiscus and Cucumber Jalapeno, while Seedlip enriches ABC’s nonalcoholic lineup with its trio of gin-alternatives: Grove 42, Spice 94 and Garden 108.

“As the spirits industry continues to evolve, we’re excited to offer this new lineup that speaks to growing interest in ready-to-drink cocktails, flavored spirits and nonalcoholic options, while also continuing to offer both new and classic takes on bourbon, whiskey, tequila, vodka and much more,” said CEO Travis Hill. “We are excited and confident that our customers across the commonwealth will find new favorites from this lineup during the holiday season.”  

The essence of summertime in coastal Virginia persists into the cooler months with arrivals from two distillers. Virginia Beach Distilling presents Beach Vodka – a new spirit evoking the joys of easy summer living – while Waterman Spirits introduces Organic Vodka, a citrus-rich Perfect Crush blend.  

Those hoping to see more Virginia products may not want to miss catching a glimpse (and a glass) of Ghost Whiskey and Cape Henry Gin, two new unique selections from Chesapeake’s Deep Creek Distilling. Shoppers will also have more than 10 new tequilas to try, including Gran Coramino Cristalino Reposado from celebrity Kevin Hart and 11th-generation tequila maker Juan Domingo.

Customers are encouraged to check ahead to make sure that these new products are available at their local stores. A list of all new products and where to buy them can be found in Virginia ABC’s online product catalog and in the quarterly Spirited Virginia magazine, which can be picked up for free in any one of ABC’s 396 stores across the commonwealth. 

ABC’s website also offers a bevy of cocktail recipes that can help customers maximize responsible enjoyment of both new products and longtime favorites.
