From Lochan an Doire-Uaine, the lake in the green grove, all the pure spring water used in distilling Dalwhinnie flows over rich local peat through Allt an t'Suic, the distiller burn. No other distillery may use the water from this source—therefore no other distillery is able to yield Dalwhinnie's uniquely clean, accessible and malty-sweet taste. It's aromatic profile of toffee and fruit salad leads slowly into a finish of floral notes and custard.
