The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (Virginia ABC) is currently seeking applicants for the Payroll Support Specialist position.
Areas of Responsibility
- Accurately process the Authority’s payroll, benefits, leave and short-term disability (SDP/Worker’s Compensation program).
- Prepare periodic reconciliations, audits and reviews of payroll, benefits and leave transactions.
- Process unemployment claims and complete employee verifications.
- Maintain a strong customer service ethic and a professional demeanor.
- Maintain confidentiality with employee records.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business, Accounting, or a related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of payroll support
- Experience with the Commonwealth of Virginia payroll processes
