Chill a cocktail glass. Build the cocktail in a mixing glass and add ice. Stir for about 30 seconds until cocktail has achieved desired consistency and temperature. Double strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with orange twist.
To make black mission fig-infused bourbon: In a mason jar, add 5 ounces of dried black mission figs, quartered, to 750mL of bourbon. Close the jar and allow to steep in the refrigerator for 5 to 7 days until desired flavor is reached. Shake daily. After the infusion has reached desired flavor, fine mesh strain it, label, date and keep refrigerated for optimum flavor.
