The story of Uncle Nearest Whiskey is the story of the first known African-American master distiller, Nearest Green. It is about much more than whiskey, but a story of honor, respect, and an unlikely friendship that could be the greatest American story you never heard. Nathan "Nearest" Green was a founder of "Tennessee Whiskey" and mentor to Jack Daniel.

Preparation
Place ¼ cup of cherries and 1 oz of simple syrup in a glass and muddle. In cocktail shaker add bourbon, amaretto, and squeeze of lemon juice and shake. Place ice on top of muddled cherries and pour cocktail over. Add a 1-2 dashes of orange bitters and garnish with cherries.
