In a shaker, combine coffee liqueur, vodka, espresso and pumpkin spice syrup. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with coffee beans; cinnamon sugar rim optional.
Pumpkin spice syrup is easy to make. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of pumpkin spice mixture, and 1/3 cup pumpkin puree. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 4 minutes, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and simmer for an additional minute. Strain this mixture to remove solids, then let it cool.
