Summer Cyber Sale Aug 5

August 5, 2020 Update: The Summer Cyber Sale was discontinued after 5 p.m. August 5. Any orders that were completed and where the card was charged will be honored. Instead, we will offer a similar savings opportunity on a date in the near future.

Many of you eagerly anticipated today's Summer Cyber Sale and took time out of your busy schedules to place an order via our website. Unfortunately, many of you were also met with error messages, page crashes, store selection changes and emptied carts. This is unacceptable. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience we have caused you. A combination of factors, some within our control and some not, caused our servers to respond differently than expected to extremely high spikes in web traffic. This is not an excuse, but certainly an opportunity for us to do better. We are working to first investigate and identify the issues that arose today, so that we can prevent them from being repeated in future online sales events. We hope you will take advantage of the promotion when it is rescheduled, and we will share updates on a new date for the promotion when available.

The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) will hold its first ever Summer Cyber Sale on Aug. 5, featuring 20% off all online purchases of $100 or more.

The promotion will be available on Wednesday, Aug. 5 from midnight until 11:59 p.m., with the discount automatically applied at checkout once the $100 minimum is reached. All products available for online ordering will be eligible for the discount, while supplies last. Products that do not display an “Add to Cart” button are unavailable for online ordering.

Customers can choose to pick up their order in their local store or schedule a time for curbside pickup of their online order at least two hours after the order is placed. Currently 370 of 389 ABC stores offer curbside pickup. Customers who opt for in-store pickup are required to wear a face mask or face covering and observe social distancing when inside the store.

Customers can place online orders and browse ABC’s catalog of more than 3,000 products online at www.abc.virginia.gov/products.
