The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Authority store at 3901 Brambleton Avenue, S.W., in Roanoke’s Cave Springs Corner Shopping Center will close at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, for remodeling. The store is expected to reopen in October.
The 4,200 square-foot store, which opened in 1969, will receive new counters, shelving and flooring. In fiscal year 2018, the store sold nearly 190,000 bottles and generated approximately $2.6 million in gross sales.
During the closure, customers can shop for distilled spirits at the following nearby ABC stores:
•646 Brandon Avenue in Roanoke at the Towers Shopping Center
•3341 Melrose Avenue, N.W. in Roanoke

The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) is a major source of revenue for the commonwealth, contributing more than $2.1 billion to the general fund in the last five years.
