Midlothian Store Closing for Expansion and Remodeling

The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Authority store at 7028 Woodlake Commons Loop in Midlothian’s Woodlake Commons Shopping Center will close at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3 (Labor Day), for expansion and remodeling. The store is expected to reopen in November.

The 3,000 square-foot store, which opened in 2005, will receive new shelving, counters and flooring. The project also includes expansion of the space to 4,240 square feet, a 41 percent increase. This expanded area will allow for a wider selection of products for customers. In fiscal year 2018, the store sold more than 209,000 bottles and generated approximately $3.5 million in gross sales.

“After 13 years of serving a busy and constantly growing metropolitan area, the store needs an upgrade,” said Chief Retail Operations Officer Jeff Reeder. “The expanded store will provide a more efficient and pleasant shopping experience for our Midlothian customers.”

During the closure, customers can shop for distilled spirits at the following nearby ABC stores:
•13113 Rittenhouse Drive at The Village at Swift Creek in Midlothian
•14229 Midlothian Turnpike at Ivymont Square Shopping Center in Midlothian
•15127 Patrick Henry Highway at Village Square Shopping Center in Amelia

For customer convenience, a searchable list of Virginia ABC’s 374 retail outlets—including brands and quantities of spirits available at each location—can be found at www.abc.virginia.gov. Customers may also order spirits online for pick-up in the store of their choice.
