To better serve the growing number of residents in Loudoun County, the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Authority has opened its fifth store in Ashburn. A grand opening of the new store, located at 44722 Brimfield Drive in the One Loudoun shopping center, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27.
The public is invited to join Virginia ABC Chief Executive Officer Travis Hill, store staff and special guests at the event, which will include brief remarks, a ribbon cutting, informational store tours and refreshments. The first 25 customers will receive a parting gift.
“This location will provide added convenience for the growing Ashburn population and business base,” Hill said. “Patrons have more opportunities to purchase thousands of products offered in stores and online.” ABC has opened more than 80 stores in the last 10 years and has plans to open additional stores based on market research, customer demand and available locations.
The new Ashburn store measures over 2,900 square feet and includes a customized selection of more than 1,300 items including 304 vodkas, 180 bourbons, 162 rums, 101 cordials and 79 tequilas. The store manager may alter the store’s product assortment to accommodate local preferences.
The store is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday. The store employs six sales associates who are all eager to help customers find exactly what they are looking for.
The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) is a major source of revenue for the commonwealth, contributing more than $2 billion to the general fund in the last five years. Now marking its 84th year, ABC remains committed to progress and innovation in carrying out its control, service and revenue mission.
