To better serve the residents and visitors to Forest, the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Authority has opened its third store in the community. A grand opening of the new store, located at 12130 East Lynchburg Salem Turnpike in the Food Lion Shopping Center in the New London neighborhood of Forest, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11.
Everyone is invited to join Virginia ABC Chief Executive Officer Travis Hill, Director of Retail Operations Wilson Jones, store staff and special guests at the event, which will include remarks, a ribbon cutting, informational store tours and refreshments. The first 25 customers will receive a parting gift.
“This is our 371st store. Virginia ABC’s continued retail expansion shows its commitment to excellent customer service,” Jones said. “We are excited to provide more opportunities for patrons to responsibly enjoy the thousands of products offered in stores and online.”
The new Forest store measures 1,200 square feet and will include a customized selection of approximately 717 items including 131 vodkas, 211 bourbon items, 60 rum items and more.
The store is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The store employs three sales associates who are all eager to help customers find exactly what they are looking for.
