It will take less than a week for the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to give its store at 5739 Burke Center Parkway in Burke a fresh look.
With the remodel, customers can expect a brand-new floor for the 1,750 square-foot retail shop. The renovation will require the store to close from 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, to noon on Friday, March 3.
“The refreshed store will create a more inviting atmosphere for our customers,” said Virginia ABC Director of Retail Operations Wilson Jones. “I think visitors will be pleased with the change.”
While the Burke location is closed, customers can shop at nearby Virginia ABC stores located at 9574-76 Old Keene Mill Road in Burke, or at 9575 Braddock Road or 10685 Braddock Road, both in Fairfax.
The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is a major source of revenue for the commonwealth, contributing more than $1.9 billion to the general fund in the last five years.
