Tito’s Vodka Bringing Taste of Austin to Richmond

When:  Thursday, July 28, from 1 to 8 p.m.

Where:  Virginia ABC’s premier store in Short Pump, 3450 Pump Road, Henrico, VA 23233

What:  The 38-foot-long RV named “Woody” is one of the event vehicles in the Tito’s Handmade Vodka fleet traveling around the country as part of Tito’s on Tour. The interior of the bar-on-  wheels is designed to look like a lounge where visitors can relax, hear the Tito’s story and learn more about the product. Customers, who are encouraged to take photos with Woody and share them on social media, will also get to play interactive games and win nonalcoholic prizes.

In addition, inside the Virginia ABC store, Tito’s is offering samples of All-American Lemonades featuring its popular vodka.

Virginia ABC’s Short Pump store is one of only four premier locations out of 359 retail outlets in the commonwealth. The special tasting area is surrounded by antique jugs, whimsical    black and white photographs and a unique decorative lighting display reminiscent of the early days of electricity. The Short Pump store measures 6,000 square feet and is one of Virginia ABC’s largest.

Why:  The Henrico County stop is one of only two in Virginia—and the only in the Richmond area—this year for the Tito’s RV. It will be at Floyd Fest in southwest Virginia on July 27.

Customers interested in buying Tito’s Handmade Vodka for summer celebrations may purchase a 1.75 L bottle for $36.99, a $3 savings for the month of July.

The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is a major source of revenue for the commonwealth, contributing more than $1.8 billion to the general fund in the last five years. The agency currently operates 359 state stores. Its Bureau of Law Enforcement oversees more than 17,000 ABC licensed establishments while the Hearings and Appeals Division considers more than 700 cases each year. The agency also provides alcohol education and prevention programs for people of all ages. Now marking its 83rd year, ABC remains committed to progress and innovation in carrying out its control, service and revenue mission.
