Delegate Riley Ingram, who represents the 62nd District in the Virginia House of Delegates, is expected to attend.

What: The grand opening event will include brief remarks, a ribbon cutting, photos and informal store tours followed by refreshments. The first 25 customers will receive a free gift.
Why: Virginia ABC is celebrating its third retail outlet to open this year, bringing the total number of stores in the state to 358. The store—the 11th in Chesterfield County—is 3,033 square feet and offers more than 1,300 products. The location fulfills Virginia ABC’s goal of providing the upmost customer service and convenience by making it easier for consumers traveling along Route 10 in Chester to shop for spirits.
The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is a major source of revenue for the commonwealth, contributing more than $1.8 billion to the general fund in the last five years. The agency currently operates 358 state stores. Its Bureau of Law Enforcement oversees more than 16,000 ABC licensed establishments while the Hearings and Appeals Division considers more than 700 cases each year. The agency also provides alcohol education and prevention programs for people of all ages. Now marking its 83rd year, ABC remains committed to progress and innovation in carrying out its control, service and revenue mission.
