The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) store located in the Monticello Market Place, 4640 Monticello Ave., will close Sunday, March 16 for remodeling. The store plans to reopen Saturday, March 29.
As a large Licensee store, merchandise sales to licensees will continue, but the store will be closed to all retail customers.
This Williamsburg location, along with other recently remodeled stores, balances functionality with visual appeal as well as security, maintenance and accessibility for the disabled. The newly designed store will feature enhanced shelving allowing for increased product selection to meet market demand.

The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is a major source of revenue for the commonwealth, contributing more than $1.7 billion to the general fund in the last five years. The agency currently operates 346 state stores.
