The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) store located in the Hilltop North Shopping Center at 1612 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, will close Sunday, Aug. 31, at 6 p.m. for remodeling. Plans call for the location to reopen in mid-November as Virginia ABC’s newest premier store.
The licensee section of the store—which fills product orders for restaurants only—will remain open during construction from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
This Virginia Beach store will be completely remodeled to resemble the two other premier ABC stores that recently opened in Leesburg and Williamsburg. The retail space will be renovated with new flooring, ceiling, energy-efficient lighting, wall treatments, product displays and a tasting area. In addition to the new structural and design elements, the store will also feature a theme that reflects the culture and unique characteristics of its coastal location.
When the remodel is complete, the premier store will measure more than 6,000 square feet, double the average footprint of a Virginia ABC store, and carry nearly 1,800 items. As customers purchase spirits and express their preferences, store managers may customize the product variety to accommodate customer favorites.
During the renovation, customers may shop at the following ABC locations close to the Hilltop North Shopping Center store:
