The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) store located in the Holland Plaza Shopping Center, 4334 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, will close beginning Sunday, Feb. 9 for remodeling. The store is scheduled to reopen Monday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m.
The Holland Road store, along with other recently remodeled stores, balances functionality with visual appeal as well as security, maintenance and accessibility for the disabled. The newly designed store will feature enhanced shelving allowing for increased product selection to meet market demand.

The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is a major source of revenue for the commonwealth, contributing more than $1.7 billion to the general fund in the last five years. The agency currently operates 344 state stores. Its Bureau of Law Enforcement oversees nearly 16,000 ABC licensed establishments while the Hearings and Appeals Division considers more than 700 cases each year. The agency also provides alcohol education and prevention programs for people of all ages.
