The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) store located in the Meadowbrook Plaza Shopping Center at 5722 Hopkins Road, Richmond, closed Monday, Oct. 13, at 9 p.m. for remodeling. The store is expected to reopen in late November.
This Chesterfield store will undergo a complete renovation, including new shelving, counters, ceiling, windows, lighting and doors. The sales floor will also be expanded from 1,539 square feet to 2,026 square feet.

The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) is a major source of revenue for the commonwealth, contributing more than $1.8 billion to the general fund in the last five years.
