Gloucester ABC Store Will Close Sept. 15 for Face-Lift Update
Plastic surgeons are not the only people giving face-lifts in September. The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) will peel away old carpet, walls and fixtures to give the Store 233 in Gloucester, located on 6619 Main Street, a major face-lift from Sept. 17 through Oct. 22. Beginning Sept. 15 at 6 p.m., the Gloucester store will close for approximately five weeks for remodeling in order to enhance customer experience.
The Gloucester store, along with other recently remodeled stores, balances creativity with functionality by considering visual appeal along with issues such as security, maintenance and handicap accessibility. Color combinations, ergonomically shaped counters and aesthetically pleasing displays are some of the focal points.
"The agency's design team has given the stores more of a cozy, inviting feeling, and they are clean, bright and pleasing to the eye," says Tanya Buresh, chair of the design committee. "The look for the new stores is warmer, with each store having its own personal flavor."
Gloucester has been one of many remodeled as part of an ongoing modernization project by ABC to enhance customer service. During renovation, customers are invited to visit Store 155 in Hayes located on 2334 York Crossing Drive.
