The Party May Be Over, But ABC Agents Are Still Issuing Warrants for Underage Post-Prom Parties

Fairfax - The prom dance may be over, but Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Special Agents' efforts to enforce underage drinking at a June 1 post-prom party are still in full swing.

On August 8, 2007, ABC Special Agents executed a search warrant on the 5700 block of Dreyfuss Street and seized one half-barrel keg of beer and tapping equipment. A registration seal showed 21 year old Frank H. Rathbun as the purchaser of the keg that was used at the underage post-prom party on June 1. Rathbun resides in the 4200 block of Sleepy Hollow Road. Warrants were obtained charging Rathbun with providing alcohol for a person less than 21 years of age and for falsifying a keg registration. He was released on summonses and is scheduled to appear in the Fairfax County General Court on September 24.

The investigation is on-going and anyone with information about the party is asked to contact the ABC Alexandria Regional Office at (703) 313-4432.
