Peppers Deli Surrenders Licenses Following Investigation
When notified about administrative charges against Peppers Deli at 151 Market Street in Onancock, President Craig A. Miller surrendered the ABC licenses. The investigation by Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Bureau of Law Enforcement culminated with the following charges, which were about to be docketed for hearing.
The licensee was charged with one sale of alcoholic beverages to two intoxicated persons and two allowing consumption of alcoholic beverages by two intoxicated persons on Jan. 19, 2007 in connection with a five-person fatal traffic accident in Accomack County.
In a letter dated June 15 from Craig A. Miller, president of Bobby & Bobby, Inc. trading as Peppers Deli, the licensee agreed to surrender the Wine & Beer On Premises and Mixed Beverage Licenses, and on June 19 the ABC Board agreed to terminate the case without prejudice to the Board. Without prejudice to the Board means that if for any reason the establishment owners would request to have the licenses reinstated, ABC Enforcement could bring forth the charges that were terminated upon surrender of the license. The corporation Bobby & Bobby, Inc. has been in operation since 2003.
