ABC Opens Largest Retail Store Today

Vienna - ABC will open the doors to 11,307 square feet of retail space today cataloguing store 219 as the largest ABC retail store in Virginia. Store 219 is located in Tyson's Corner on 8338 Leesburg Pike and will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

"Providing stores in convenient locations throughout the state builds on the agency goal of providing excellent customer service," said ABC Chair Esther H. Vassar

Housing over 1,879 items including liquors cordials and specialty items, store 219 also boasts more parking spaces for customers. Office space will be located above the retail store after construction is complete. Additional products are available from the ABC store price list and special order catalog.

The Virginia Department of Alcoholic and Beverage Control's Real Estate Committee, comprised of representatives from Wholesale/Retail, Finance and Property Management, makes crucial decisions about the agency's growth based on Market Location Strategy and Rural Location Strategy. One strategy addresses new store market potential and the other, service. ABC currently operates 325 stores statewide.
