New ABC Store Opens in Alexandria

The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) will open a new store today in Alexandria on October 2 at 10 a.m. The ABC store is located in the Mount Vernon Plaza, 7702 B-D Suite #64 Richmond Hwy. The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Customers will be able to browse through 3,362 square feet of retail space offering liquors, cordials and specialty items. The store will carry approximately 961 items. Additional products are available through the ABC Store Price List and Special Order Catalog.

ABC currently operates 318 state stores. Fiscal Year 2005 marked a seventh record-breaking year for Virginia ABC that has resulted in a total of over $268 million in contributions to the Commonwealth's General Fund, state agencies and localities for education, police, fire, public works and other projects. ABC has contributed one billion dollars to the Commonwealth in the last five years.
