Newly Opened ABC Store in Ladysmith

The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) opened a new store in Ladysmith on June 8 at 10:00 a.m. The ABC store is located in The Shops at Ladysmith Shopping Center, 18035 Jefferson Davis Hwy. The store will operate between the hours of 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Customers will be able to browse through 2,000 square feet of retail space offering liquors, cordials and specialty items. The store will carry approximately 735 items. Additional products are available through the ABC Store Price List and Special Order Catalog.

ABC currently operates 311 state stores. Fiscal Year 2005 marked a seventh record-breaking year for Virginia ABC that has resulted in a total of over $268 million in contributions to the Commonwealth's General Fund, state agencies and localities for education, police, fire, public works and other projects. ABC has contributed one billion dollars to the Commonwealth in the last five years.
