ABC Launches Changes to the Web site

Richmond- The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) launches a new face of its Web site today. Adapting to the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA) mandated standards, ABC has adopted a look similar to the Commonwealth of Virginia's Web site. While remaining accessible to individuals with disabilities, some of the new standards require main navigation links to be placed on the left menu of the ABC homepage and designating links to The Commonwealth of Virginia's and Governor Kaine's Web sites. Additionally, schedules for dockets throughout the Commonwealth have been added to the Hearings and Appeals navigation link.

On June 5, ABC will launch the coveted Web application, Apply Online. One of the first state agencies to offer this feature, future employees will be able to search and apply for multiple jobs online and will be able to review the status of the position(s) they have applied for. Moreover, this new application will quicken the hiring process for new employees. For those without access to the Web, two new computer stations have been added to the lobby of ABC's Central Office location on Hermitage Road.
