Ashland ABC Store Closed on September 26 to Remodel
The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) announced that the Ashland ABC store is closed temporarily for remodeling. The store closed on Saturday, September 26 at 6 p.m. and will re-open on Monday, October 12 at 10 a.m.
The Ashland store, along with other recently remodeled stores, balances creativity with functionality by considering visual appeal along with issues such as security, maintenance and accessibility for the disabled. Color combinations, ergonomically shaped counters and aesthetically pleasing displays are some of the focal points.

A major source of revenue for Virginia, ABC has contributed more than $1.3 billion to the commonwealth in the last five years. The agency currently operates 334 state stores, and its Bureau of Law Enforcement oversees more than 15,000 ABC licensed establishments. ABC also provides alcohol education and prevention programs to citizens throughout the state.
