ABC Stores Will Operate Regular Hours on President's Day

The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) stores will remain open for regular business hours on President's Day, Monday, February 18, 2008. The ABC Central Office and Regional Offices statewide will be closed and normal office hours will resume on Tuesday, February 19.

ABC currently operates 330 state stores. As a major source of revenue for Virginia, ABC has contributed over a billion dollars to the Commonwealth in the last five years. Fiscal Year 2007 marked a ninth record-breaking year for ABC, resulting in over $290 million in contributions to the Commonwealth's General Fund, state agencies and to localities for education, police, fire, public works and other projects.
