Susan Swecker

Governor Timothy M. Kaine appointed Susan R. Swecker commissioner of the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) in March 2006.

Susan R. Swecker, Esq., a native of Highland County, is a graduate of Mary Baldwin College and Washington and Lee University School of Law. She has been a member of the Virginia Bar Association since 1991. Swecker has over 25 years of experience in government relations, public relations, grassroots consulting and issues/campaign management. She is a former senior vice president of McGuireWoods Consulting and a veteran of democratic campaigns.
