The Best is Yet to Come - Public Service Announcement

Mixing alcohol with medication can shatter your dreams. Don't let this happen to you!

Grandmother pushes her Granddaughter on a swing set. Unconscious older woman sits next to table with spilled medication bottle and empty wine glass. Two paramedics lift unconscious older woman on a gurney into an ambulance.

"The Best is Yet to Come," a 30-second public service announcement (PSA) about alcohol, medication and the older adult, was developed by Virginia ABC and the Alcohol and Aging Awareness Group (AAAG), and funded by a grant from the Virginia Department of Health, Division of Injury and Violence Prevention. It is scheduled for a five-week run during the noon news hour on WTVR-TV 6, WRIC-TV 8 and WWBT-TV 12 in Richmond, and on WDBJ-CBS and WSET-ABC in Roanoke/Lynchburg beginning April 6. The PSA airs during Alcohol Awareness Month (April) and Older American Month (May). View the message by playing this video clip on www.YouTube.com/vaabc. Transcript
